DUBAI – Apple has unveiled a major new generation of products, including the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, its first foldable iPhone Duo, Apple Watch Series 12, Apple Watch Ultra 4 and the new AirPods 5.

For customers in the UAE, the launch brings several new devices, but their pre-order and retail dates differ.

Here is a UAE-focused guide to the prices, availability, storage options and key features of Apple's latest products.

iPhone 18 Pro

The iPhone 18 Pro starts at Dh5,099 in the UAE, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max starts at Dh5,499.

Both models will be offered with 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and 2TB storage options. Buyers can choose from burgundy, glacier, silver and black finishes.

UAE customers can pre-order the devices from 4pm on Saturday, September 12, with availability beginning Friday, September 18.

Apple's new A20 Pro chip powers both Pro models, bringing improvements to processing performance, graphics and on-device artificial intelligence. The phones also feature a new 48MP Pro Fusion camera system.

One of the significant camera upgrades is variable aperture on the main camera, giving users greater control over photography and allowing the camera to adapt to different lighting conditions.

The Pro models also feature improvements to battery life and performance, while Apple's latest AI capabilities are integrated into the devices.

iPhone Duo

The biggest change to Apple's smartphone range is the iPhone Duo, the company's first foldable iPhone.

For UAE customers, the Duo starts at Dh8,499. Pre-orders will open on Friday, October 16, with availability beginning Friday, October 23.

The device features a 7.6-inch folding inner display and a 5.4-inch outer display, allowing it to operate as a conventional smartphone when closed and provide a larger screen when unfolded.

Apple has equipped the Duo with the A20 Pro chip, while its camera system includes a 48MP Fusion Main camera and 48MP Fusion Ultra Wide camera.

The foldable iPhone will be available in star white and night sky.

The Duo is also designed around productivity, with its larger display allowing users to work with multiple apps and enjoy a larger viewing area for video calls, entertainment and other tasks.

For UAE shoppers, however, its Dh8,499 starting price makes it significantly more expensive than the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max.

Apple Watch

Apple has also introduced the Apple Watch Series 12, with the UAE starting price at Dh1,599.

The latest watch brings a new health-sensing system, with Apple highlighting more frequent heart-rate measurements and additional data related to fitness and recovery.

The Series 12 also offers features including ECG, sleep tracking, sleep-apnoea notifications, wrist-temperature sensing, fall detection, crash detection and emergency SOS.

Apple has also introduced a Readiness Score, which uses information such as activity, sleep and other measurements to provide users with an indication of their recovery and readiness.

The Apple Watch Series 12 will be available in the UAE from Friday, September 18.

For UAE buyers, Apple has also cautioned that some health features may have different availability depending on regulatory approval in individual markets.

Watch Ultra 4

For customers looking for a more rugged Apple Watch, the Apple Watch Ultra 4 starts at Dh3,199 in the UAE.

The 49mm titanium watch is designed for outdoor activities and demanding workouts, with features including advanced GPS, ECG, sleep tracking, temperature sensing, water resistance, diving capabilities and emergency functions.

Apple says the Ultra 4 can provide up to 50 hours of normal battery life, rising to 84 hours in Low Power Mode.

The device will also be available in the UAE from September 18.

AirPods 5

Apple's new AirPods 5 start at Dh549 in the UAE, while the version with a wireless charging case costs Dh629.

The new earbuds bring active noise cancellation to Apple's more affordable AirPods range, alongside features such as Adaptive Audio, Transparency mode, Adaptive EQ and personalised Spatial Audio.

They are powered by Apple's H2 chip and also support features including Voice Isolation and Siri-related capabilities.

The Dh629 model adds a wireless charging case, with support for wireless charging and compatibility with an Apple Watch charger.

AirPods 5 will become available in the UAE from September 18.

Trade-in option

UAE customers upgrading from an older iPhone can also use Apple's trade-in programme.

Customers trading in an iPhone 13 or later can receive an instant trade-in credit of between Dh640 and Dh3,260, depending on the model and condition of the device.

This means the effective cost of upgrading can be substantially lower for existing iPhone owners, particularly those moving from recent Pro models.

UAE launch dates

For shoppers planning an upgrade, the key dates are:

  • September 12: iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max pre-orders open at 4pm
  • September 18: iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max go on sale in the UAE
  • September 18: Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4 become available
  • September 18: AirPods 5 become available
  • October 16: iPhone Duo pre-orders open
  • October 23: iPhone Duo becomes available

The launch gives UAE customers an unusually broad choice, ranging from the Dh549 AirPods 5 to the Dh8,499 iPhone Duo. For most iPhone buyers, the immediate choice will be between the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, while the Duo represents Apple's premium option for consumers who want a foldable device.

For existing iPhone users, Apple's trade-in programme could further reduce the cost of upgrading, while buyers interested in health and fitness have the new Series 12 and Ultra 4 to consider alongside the latest AirPods.
